I get the impulse. You want to know which one works before you spend money. But after six years coordinating rush orders for hospitals, clinics, and industrial safety teams—including same-day turnarounds for accreditation inspections—I can tell you this: you're asking the wrong question. The issue isn't “which brand is better.” It's “what exactly are you buying?”
The surface problem: You're comparing names, not specs
Take Coolmax. It's a branded polyester fiber technology originally developed by DuPont, and it's designed to move moisture away from skin. Great. But Coolmax is not one fabric. It's a family of fiber variants that can be knit or woven into everything from a thin lining to a heavy shell. A 110-gram knit behaves nothing like a 200-gram woven. So a “Coolmax” shirt from one company can feel completely different—and perform very differently—from a “Coolmax” shirt from another.
The same thing happens with the other keywords above. “UV protection polyester” isn't a guarantee. “Kevlar slash resistant gloves” isn't a safety rating. And “what setting on iron for polyester” is, frankly, the only one with a straight answer.
The deeper issue: Fiber names are ingredients, not guarantees
